Jeremy R. Summerlin joined the Law Office of W. Andrew Arnold, P.C. in 2014. As an Associate Attorney, he represents employees and minority shareholders in employment disputes. He takes pride in empowering workers who were wrongly terminated, harassed, or experienced discrimination on the basis of age, race, sexual orientation, pregnancy, disability, medical condition, or religious bias.
Mr. Summerlin also represents executives and employees in all non-compete and employment litigation. This includes claims involving whistleblowing retaliation, severance contracts, employment contracts, wage theft, unpaid overtime and minimum wage violations under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), and sick leave under the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
Mr. Summerlin received his undergraduate degree from Bob Jones University and his J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law. During law school, Mr. Summerlin was an active member of the USC Mock Trial Bar. He also served on the Editorial Board of the ABA Real Property, Trust & Estate Law Journal and was Vice President of The Federalist Society’s chapter at the law school.
Prior to joining The Law Office of W. Andrew Arnold, P.C., Mr. Summerlin served as a Law Clerk at the National Advocacy Center operated by the Department of Justice, Executive Office for United States Attorneys in Columbia, South Carolina. Mr. Summerlin also served as a Law Clerk for the Protection and Advocacy for People with Disabilities, Inc. in Greenville, South Carolina. Before law school, he interned for the 13th Circuit Solicitor’s Office, serving Greenville and Pickens counties.
